2022 is going to be a good year for fantasy! There are so many YA and adult fantasy books coming out this year and personally, I can’t wait! I will be breaking down all of the 2022 Fantasy book releases month by month for the entire year. Of course, some of the dates may change, but as of the time of posting, everything is correct based on the information available.
All of the Anticipated 2022 Fantasy Book Releases
This year has a lot of highly anticipated fantasy sequels coming out. Every month has at least a few sequels coming out. There is also a lot of new fantasy series coming out throughout the year as well as some really cool new standalone books.

January 2022 Releases
Make sure you check out all of the fantasy books coming out in the first month of the new year. January has a lot of sequels and a few really cool-sounding new series. Make sure you let me know which one you are most excited about!
February 2022 Releases
Moving on to the second, and shortest, the month of the year. Check out all of the February 2022 releases. This month has a LOT of sequels as well as a ton of new series. For such a short month, there really is an exceptional amount of new book releases.
This is quite an exciting year for fantasy books with so many new ones coming out every month! If you are interested in all the new 2022 fantasy book releases, make sure you keep checking back as I add in new releases for new months all year long.
March 2022 Fantasy Book Releases
March 2022 is a great month for new fantasy books! There are so many coming out! One of my most anticipated releases comes out this month as well, Gallant by VE Schwab!
This is a great month not only for the new series but also for new standalone books!

April 2022 Fantasy Book Releases
Now we are moving on to April, and there are some amazing sounding April 2022 Fantasy book releases we have to look forward to.
This month has two of my most anticipated sequels of the year, Hunger of the Gods by John Gwynne and Fevered Star by Rebecca Roanhorse. March looks like it is going to be a great month for sci-fi and fantasy, so make sure you check that full post out and let me know which book you are most excited about.
There are so many sci-fi and fantasy books coming out in 2022. Sequels, new series, and standalone books galore! I know there are a lot that I have already preordered and am very excited to get to!

There are a few of my most anticipated fantasy sequels coming out this month. Seasonal Fears, the sequel to Middle Game is slated for a May release. And the Merciless Ones, the sequel to the Gilded Ones is also coming out.
Holly Black’s adult fantasy debut, Book of Night, is also coming out and I am sure this will take the online book community by storm!
